Today

Unwrapped

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also rest in hope.
 Psalm 16:9.

A gift will lay under the tree, unwrapped, and left behind for a day, a month, or a year. Hopefully, today, it will be opened by the person it was intended for. Not someone who comes unexpectedly, and you run and retag it. God does not retag His Gift for you. He wants to save and redeem. Come to the Savior completely unwrapped before Him; what you have hidden, wrapped in shame, let it be known to God. He already knows, and nothing is too dark; he cannot see.

Yahweh,

I rejoice in Your Salvation; my heart is filled with gladness because of Your mercy; my chains have fallen, and I sing the song of praise to You. My glory is in Your Son, who paid the price that was too costly for me to pay and gave me freedom. Completely unwrapped, I offer You the gift of my heart and receive Your Gift, Your Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, amen.
