Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.

When Jesus asked the paralyzed man who lay by the pool if he wanted to be healed, the man said “yes, but” yes, but every time I tried, someone beat him to the pool. Jesus did not ask him why, He asked, ‘do you want to be healed. The man humbly said yes, and after instructions he took up his mat and walked. Lastly, Jesus told him to stop sinning/complaining or something worse could happen. Sometimes we would rather blame and complain than actually take up our mats and walking into the CR class, or calling a therapist. We soothe our symptoms with alcohol or medications; I know, I’ve done the same if not worse things. Jesus approached me though many people who were able to help me, not cripple me.
