As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children— with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. There was a time I never knew the meaning of Your great love Lord, because as a child, I didn’t experience the love of an earthly father, nor did I model Your Love to my children. However, You never condemned those who seek and praise You in humility. Holy Spirit, please empower me to do the will of the Father, to model His Love and compassion to my children and my children’s children, for His name’s sake. Anoint my words and actions with Your loving-kindness toward them and others in their sight, that they would see my changed life because of You, and praise You, Lord Jesus. I know my days are numbered; help me to use my time here on earth to glorify You in everything I do and say; in Your Holy name, I pray, amen.
