“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Healing the Exiled Inner-Children
LORD, no one is greater than You; You sit on the throne of my heart; what is the man that You should care for us, yet You look down on us with love, mercy, and compassion. You provide for all humankind; our fear, unbelief, and pride keep us from receiving Your rest. LORD, I need Your rest from self-afflicted situations that emerge from my wounded inner parts; healing starts within. May my exiled inner children find rest in You and be free to grow and develop their skills in the light of Your healing Presence within my soul, where You dwell. When fear and doubt creep in, give me the strength and courage to boldly lay these burdens at the foot of the Cross of Jesus Christ, Your Son. You are the King of my heart, LORD. May the song of David rise within, “Find rest in the LORD, oh, my soul.” May my inner children be free to live the life You destined them to live as wounded healers, setting the prisoners of my past free to accomplish what You created them to do: to bring You praise and glory. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for guidance in the prayer of faith; in Jesus’ Name, amen
