For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
Romans 10:10 NLT

When I was young, I was told that to be right with God, I had to be holy, that is, without sin. Unblemished and perfect in every way, and the message was partly true. It wasn’t very long after hearing the news I knew that was impossible, so I willfully succumbed to sin and lived as one who accepted my fate hell-bound. However, God, in His mercy, pursued me as a Shepherd pursues His lost sheep. I ran from God because I believed the twisted lies of the devil through those who took His Son out of the gospel; Jesus is the Good News, and that is, we are made right with God, holy, and unblemished through the Atonement of His shed blood. Good people without Jesus will never be saved from the judgment that awaits those who reject His Son. Sin must be dealt with, and Jesus defeated sin on the Cross when He said, “It is finished.” On the third day, when He rose from the dead, He brought back others with Him, and they ascended to heaven, and when He returns, my loved ones who died will be with Him, not because they were perfect, but because they believed, and we will be reunited; what a glorious day that will be!
Paul said he was the worst of sinners; how can that be? Paul was a righteous man according to the laws written by Moses. He followed the law to the “T,” yet Jesus told him he was persecuting Him. Even today, we believe it is impossible to be right God, and yes, that is true, but Jesus redeemed our debt; every sin, past, present, and future, when He, who was without sin, holy, and unblemished, became sin and paid the price we cannot pay. It is Finished. We need to believe and receive Christ Jesus as our Savior.
Our Father, who art in heaven, holy is Your Name. May Your kingdom come, and may Your will be done in my heart and on earth as it is in heaven. What is bound on earth is in heaven; I bind myself to Jesus Christ. I decree in my heart and declare with my lips that I am saved through the Blood of Your only begotten Son, when He came down from heaven through a virgin, becoming human for one purpose, and that was to Redeem Your creation from the sin of unbelief passed down from generation to generation since the garden and paid the debt of all our sins when He was Crucified on the Cross at Calvery. On this day, give me Your Holy Spirit to nourish me spiritually, emotionally, and physically and empower me to serve and glorify You in every way, word, and deed according to the richness of Your mercy, grace, faithfulness, and unending love through Jesus Christ. Please remind me, when I fail You, to come to You and confess my sins, repent of them, and ask for help to change my ways. Heal my wounded heart and help me forgive those who have trespassed against me as You have graciously forgiven me. May the power of Your Holy Spirit deliver me, my children, and their offspring from the evil one and cruel and wicked people who have twisted Your word for selfish gain. Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever, in Jesus’ Name, amen.
