Honor is Not Fitting for a Fool
Proverbs 26: 20
Where there is no wood, the fire goes out, and there is no talebearer, strife ceases. As charcoal is used to burn coals and wood to fire, it is a contentious man/woman to kindle strife. The words of the talebearer/gossiper. The words of a talebearer/gossiper are like tasty trifles, and they go down into the innermost body.
Proverbs: 26: 24
He who hates disguises it with his lips and lays up deceit within themself; when they speak kindly, do not believe them, for there are seven abominations in their heart. Though their hatred is covered by deceit, their wickedness will be revealed before the assembly.
Heavenly Father, Creator of all things, I bless Your Holy Name. Make me holy, and create a pure heart and a steadfast spirit within me; deliver me from my foolish ways, O Lord. May the fear of the Lord lead me away from the temptations of the flesh, the world, and the devil who uses the devices of gossiping as a weapon of destruction; keep my feet on Your path of righteousness. May Prudence, Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, and Discernment be my companions; quicken my heart to flee from the path of destruction. Lord, I forgive those who have slandered my name through the devices of gossip, and I forgive the talebearers who spread them like wildfire. You know, hear, and see all; help me not lean on my understanding. I trust You, Jesus, to judge according to Your Righteousness; those who have dug a pit for the destruction of Your children will fall into it themselves, and their words of judgment against us will be condemned. Lord, have mercy on them and lead them to repentance. I declare that no spiritual, physical, emotional, or mental weapon formed against us will prosper against us and our loved ones. O Lord, bless our comings and goings; thank You for providing our every need according to the richness of Your steadfast love, mercy, grace, and faithfulness. Blessed be the Name of the Lord who gives the Fruit of the Holy Spirit and prunes away the fruit of the flesh. May Wisdom restrain our lips, Discernment opens our eyes, and Prudence causes us to flee from unrighteousness in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord, for hearing and answering my prayer according to Your will, in the Mighty of Jesus Christ, for Yours is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever, amen.
