Proverbs 16:3 NKJV
[3] Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.

A high school autistic student who rarely smiles or laughs, I will call Sam, loves dinosaurs, and sharks, and he can name every sea creature and every dinosaur. His favorite pass time is mainly talking about the movies, Jurassic Park, or Jaws.  When he finishes his assignments, he and I either look at dinosaur or shark books. The other day, we found a picture of a T-Rex with big teeth, and as he was telling me about the movie he saw, Jurassic Park, I cringed and closed my eyes. Suddenly, I heard him laughing, and when I opened my eyes, I saw that he was smiling. This may not seem like a big deal, or biblically correct. We can argue about the validity of dinosaurs, etc. but working with students who either lost themselves from domestic violence, autism, or other under-developmental disabilities, this is what real miracles and breakthroughs look like in reality. One thing I love so much about my job; is searching for the thing that ignites the fire within a person. The gifts God implanted and we are to nurture; things they love that wicked people dismantled and destroyed within them. When I see a sudden light, I see the resurrection of dry bones.

We can argue day and night over logic, science, or what is physiologically proven. We can talk about whose hypothesis was proven correct, but GOD is the Creator. Sometimes, He comes with a big bang, but when He comes in the small details in our day’s journey and plants something that may seem so small that unless we are in tune with His Spirit, we will miss His blessings, His Presence with us.

LORD, I commit all my works to You; let the works of my hands be prosperous, and the fruit of my lips be like a refreshing spring to those around me. LORD, let Your cause be established in and through us and our loved ones for Your honor and glory. Be exalted in every word and deed. Remove every trap set before us and cause the enemy of confusion to fall into their own traps against us. Give us eyes to see You working and ears to hear Your still, small voice, guiding us in every detail of today. Thank You, Father, thank You, in Jesus Name, amen.
