The Warrior Within
Scripture:
“Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.” — Ezekiel 37:5
Reflection:
Sometimes, when I sit before my laptop, it feels as though the little warrior within me awakens — the author God created, rising from the valley of dry bones where childhood dreams once lay buried. Words begin to flow like breath into lifeless places, and I sense resurrection happening in my soul.
I remember the dragons that tried to silence her — fear, shame, guilt, and perfectionism — and how for so long, I bowed to their intimidation. But now, when I write, I see her stand tall and declare with holy fire, “No More!”
I’ve seen this same courage rise in others — a young girl facing a cruel bully, or another betrayed by a friend’s mockery — both learning to look their pain in the eye and say, “You no longer have power over me.” The Spirit reminds me that some battles aren’t mine to fight, but His. My part is to speak life, to remind others — and my own wounded child — that we are loved, seen, and worth defending.
When I choose to stop belittling myself and begin blessing the parts of me that once hid in fear, something miraculous happens: life returns. The little warrior breathes again. She learns to stand, not in defiance, but in divine confidence, whispering the words that set captives free — “No More, in the mighty name of Jesus.”
Repentance:
Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve silenced my own voice or agreed with lies that diminished my worth. Breathe Your Spirit into every dry place within me.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for awakening the warrior within. Teach me to fight not with anger, but with love and truth. Give me strength to speak life where death once ruled, and to stand firm in who You say I am.
Journal Prompt:
Write about a moment when you felt God awaken strength in you after a time of fear or defeat. What did “No More” look like for you?
Sacred Pause:
Breathe deeply. Let the breath of God fill the places that once felt lifeless.
Whisper His truth aloud: “I am alive in Christ. I am free. I am whole.”
Sit quietly and let His presence affirm your worth and renew your courage.
Soli Deo Gloria — To God Alone Be the Glory.
