Morning Prayer — Isaiah 40

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
Everlasting Father,
In the stillness of this morning, I lift my eyes to You—
the Creator of heaven and earth,
The One who never grows tired, whose understanding is beyond measure.
You give power to the faint and strengthen the weary,
and today, Lord, I come to You for that renewal.
Let Your breath fill my lungs with hope.
Let Your Spirit lift me above the weight of yesterday.
Where I have stumbled, set my feet firm again.
Where I have been waiting, teach me to wait with faith, not frustration—
trusting that You are working even in the unseen.
As I walk through this day,
help me to rise above discouragement like an eagle on the wind of Your grace.
Help me to run the race before me without weariness,
and to walk each moment in the quiet strength that comes only from You.
Your presence is my peace,
Your promises give me confidence,
and to bring You glory, my aim.
In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
Sacred Pause
“Renewed Strength” (Isaiah 40:31)
Breathe in deeply,
Let stillness settle over your heart like the morning light.
“He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might He increases strength.” — Isaiah 40:29
You do not need to carry everything today.
The Lord who spoke galaxies into being is holding you even now.
His strength is not earned—it’s received.
His renewal does not rush—it unfolds like dawn after a long night.
In this quiet pause, release your striving.
Lift your face to the One who never grows weary.
Feel the weight of worry loosen its hold as His peace fills the space around you.
Whisper:
“Lord, I will wait upon You.
Renew my strength, and teach me to soar again.”
Soli Deo Gloria
