A Day of Decision
Scripture:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15
This morning, I felt discouraged and wondered if I was on the right path. My heart drifted through the Word and then wandered into the noise of social media. For a moment, I felt pulled between two worlds — one calling me deeper into truth, the other into distraction.
Then, in the stillness, I felt the tender love of God give me space to choose. Not with force, but with mercy. He stood beside me like a Father waiting for His child to turn and come home.
I looked around and saw nothing in this world worth straying from His presence — nothing worth losing the peace of walking with Him. My eyes opened wide, and I turned back to Him. Like a child reaching for her Father’s hand, I took hold of His.
And in that quiet moment, I whispered with conviction:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Sacred Pause
Where do you feel pulled today — between the noise of the world and the stillness of His voice?
Breathe in His presence.
He is giving you the space to choose — not because He doubts your love, but because love freely given is love that endures. “Choose this day whom you will serve.”
And may your heart, like a child’s, reach again for His hand.
