Teach Me to Be Present
Lord, thank You for a new day.
Teach me to be fully present with the people You have entrusted to me.
Help me resist distractions and choose love over urgency,
attention over noise.
Give me a heart that listens, eyes that notice,
and a Spirit that values the eternal over the temporary.
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Sanctify My Attention
Jesus, in this midday pause, sanctify my attention.
Pull my heart back from every screen, every message, every demand
that tries to steal the sacredness of presence.
Help me be here—not pulled, not scattered,
but rooted in Love.
Let the people in front of me feel seen, valued, and cherished.
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21
Heal What My Distraction Has Touched
Lord, before I rest tonight, I place in Your hands every moment I missed today.
Heal what my distraction has touched.
Please give me the courage to ask for forgiveness from those I have wounded.
Restore joy where disappointment lingered. Help me repair broken bridges.
Thank You for the gift of holy sorrow that leads to life.
Thank You for teaching me to Love better.
Wrap me in Your peace tonight, and tomorrow, help me walk more gently,
more aware, more present.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.
“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14
Wrap your arms around The Gift with your Presence.
Sacred Pause Reflections
- Where did distraction steal from my relationships today?
- Whose Spirit might I have unknowingly crushed?
- What is the Holy Spirit inviting me to change moving forward?
- How can I honor the people I Love with my presence?
- What boundaries do I need to put in place to protect sacred moments?
Closing Breath Prayer:
Inhale: “Lord, You are here…”
Exhale: “…help me be here too.”
