Good Friday: Youth Day’s Journey

Good Friday | Youth Reflection

Why is it called Good Friday if Jesus died on the cross?

It is called good not because it was an easy day, but because of what Jesus did for us. On that day, Jesus took our sin upon Himself. He gave His life so we can be forgiven and brought back to God.

Good Friday reminds us how serious sin is, but it also shows us how deep God’s Love is. Jesus did not run from the pain. He stayed. He obeyed the Father. He gave Himself for us.

Sometimes we want joy without surrender, hope without repentance, and victory without the cross. But Good Friday teaches us that real Love sacrifices. Jesus showed the greatest love of all when He laid down His life for us.

Because of the cross, no one is too far gone. No heart is too broken. No sinner is beyond mercy if they turn to Christ.

That is why Good Friday is called good:
because what looked like the darkest day became the doorway to hope.

The cross looked like the end, but it became the place where God’s love made a way home.
