Title: The Humble Shepherd

Peter teaches us how to live like Jesus.

He tells leaders, “Be shepherds.” A shepherd is someone who takes care of others. Shepherds don’t push people around. Shepherds don’t act like they’re the boss of everyone. Shepherds help, protect, and guide with Love.

Then Peter tells everyone—especially young people—something important:

“Wear humility.”

Humility means we don’t say, “I’m better than you!”
Humility means we don’t try to be the biggest and best.
Humility means we say, “Jesus, help me be kind and gentle.”

God loves a humble heart. The Bible says God gives grace to humble people. Grace is God’s help.

Peter also tells us to be careful because the devil tries to trick people. Pride is one of his tricks. Pride whispers, “Be mean.” “Show off.” “Make it all about you.” But Jesus teaches us another way—the servant way.

Little Lesson for Today
If you feel proud, you can pray:
“Jesus, help me be humble.”

Prayer (with Repentance)
Dear Jesus, I’m sorry for the times I act proud or mean. Please forgive me. Help me be humble, kind, and helpful. Keep me safe from bad choices, and help me follow You every day. Amen.
