Children’s Ministry

I Can Try with Jesus
Sometimes things feel hard.
A child may think:
I can’t do it.
I can’t learn this.
I can’t keep going.
But sometimes a better thought is:
I can try.
Trying is a good thing.
Trying means you do not give up right away.
Trying means you take one small step.
You can say:
I can try to listen.
I can try to be kind.
I can try to focus.
I can try again.
I can try with Jesus helping me.
Jesus loves when we keep trying.
He helps us when things are hard.
He does not get angry because we need help.
He stays near and gives us strength.
A little pause
What is something hard for you right now?
Can you say:
Jesus, I can try with Your help.
A little prayer
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for loving me. Forgive me for the times I give up too fast. Help me not to say “I can’t” before I even try. Give me courage, patience, and a peaceful heart.
Help me listen, learn, and keep going. Thank You for being with me and helping me try again.
In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Jesus helps little hearts keep trying.
