Day’s Journey Youth Reflection

Scripture Anchor:
“Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”
— Romans 10:11

Sometimes we wonder if we are really saved.

That can feel scary to admit, but many believers have struggled with doubt. Doubt does not mean you do not Love Jesus. Doubt means your heart needs truth, care, and protection.

When our hearts are left unguarded, every kind of voice can try to come in.

Voices of fear.
Voices of shame.
Voices that say, “You are not good enough.”
Voices that make you feel confused, distracted, or far away from God.

But not every voice deserves a seat in your heart.

God teaches us to guard our hearts. That means we do not have to listen to everything people say about us. We do not have to believe every thought that comes into our mind. We do not have to follow every feeling that pulls us away from Jesus.

The Holy Spirit helps us recognize what is from God and what is not.

If a voice brings correction with Love, it may be God helping us grow.
If a voice brings shame, fear, and hopelessness, it is not speaking like Jesus.

Romans 10 reminds us that salvation is not based on being perfect. We are saved because of Jesus. We believe in Him, trust Him, and confess that He is Lord.

Jesus is the One who saves us.
Jesus is the One who keeps us.
Jesus is the One who helps us when doubt knocks.

So when doubt comes to the door of your heart, you can answer with truth:

I believe in Jesus.
I belong to Jesus.
I am not put to shame because my hope is in Him.

Your faith may feel small some days, but Jesus is not small. He is strong enough to hold you, even when your heart feels weak.

Think About It

What voices have you been listening to lately?

Are they leading you closer to Jesus, or pulling you away from Him?

A Prayer for Youth

Lord Jesus,

Sometimes I struggle with doubt. Sometimes I wonder if I am really Yours. Please help me remember that my salvation is not based on my feelings, but on Your Love, Your cross, and Your resurrection.

Forgive me for listening to voices that bring fear, shame, or confusion. Help me guard my heart and recognize Your voice.

Holy Spirit, teach me the difference between loving correction and hurtful condemnation. Help me close the door to anything that pulls me away from God’s truth.

I believe in Jesus.
I trust in Jesus.
I belong to Jesus.

Thank You for holding me, even when I feel unsure.

Amen.
