Today: Rewrite My Story for Your Glory

A Brand-New Day

Lord, I praise You because the chains of my sins have been broken.
I am forgiven.

Yesterday is gone, and Today is a brand-new day.

Like a blank page, write my story for Your glory. Let every word, every step, every breath, and every decision belong to You.

Because of Jesus, I can rise with the Son.

Your mercies are new every morning, and yesterday’s mistakes will not consume me. Shame will not write my name. Regret will not hold the pen. Fear will not decide my future.

Jesus, You took the punishment for my sins—yesterday’s sins, Today’s sins, and every sin I could never pay for myself. You bore what I could not carry. You paid what I could not afford. You opened the door I could not open.

Now You knock on the door of my heart, and I open it to You again.

Meet me this morning with Your steadfast Love and faithfulness. Lead me with Your wisdom. Cover me with Your protection. Provide what I need for Today. Strengthen what is weak. Heal what is wounded. Correct what is crooked. Restore what has been broken.

Forgive me, Lord, for the times I have tried to live this day in my own strength. Forgive me for carrying yesterday into Today as though Your mercy was not enough. Wash me clean. Renew my mind. Create in me a clean heart and restore a steadfast Spirit within me.

Be exalted above everything that rises against us—above fear, shame, sin, grief, confusion, accusation, and every weapon formed against Your children.

Today belongs to You.

Write my story for Your glory.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.
