Every good gift comes from heaven, but Lord, You sent us the Greatest Gift of all. You sent us the King of all Kings, the Savior of the world, Your Son, to save us from our sins. Even the kings of the earth bowed down in holy worship and adored Him. Others feared His birth, for it was written through Your prophets centuries before them, and the kings of the world tried to kill Him but could not. Even today, Lord, they continue to try to destroy the true meaning of Christmas by removing Him with glimmering lights, activities, idols, and lesser gods. Lord, give us a moment of holy adoration as You gave the shepherds in the field. May we hear the songs of divine worship rise within our hearts and the spirit of gratitude and supplication fill us to overflowing. May the light of Your Presence be with us as we celebrate the birth of the world’s Savior. In Jesus’ name, amen
