Today

I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.”
Psalms 77:11‭-‬12 NIV

Discouragement is a signal of hopelessness, a sense of abandonment not only from loved ones but also from God. But God never left us in this state without hope; He gives us hope when we open the Bible, His written Love Letter to His beloved. When I read this verse, my mind was obstructed. I ask the Holy Spirit to remind me of the Lord’s many deeds and miracles in my life and the lives of my loved ones. My mind was opened and a river of good memories started flowing through and I began thanking Him verbally; so the enemy can hear who I am, and who’s I am. Gratitude is the prime that pulls us out of the swamp of despondency.

Holy Father, Encourager, and Loving God, filled with compassion and mercy. May Your Holy Spirit remind us that You never forget or lose sight of Your beloved. Your mercy endures through all generations, and You never forget Your promises. Please fill our hearts with Your Peace, and strengthen us in our weaknesses. May the Light of Your Presence comfort and encourage us today. For it is in Jesus Christ, we pray, amen
