Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Matthew 5:5 NIV
https://matthew.bible/matthew-5-5
Meekness lays down their interests or lives for another, like those who serve our country, our officers, our first responders, and those who heal the wounded so that we can live in peace and quietness. God established these entities for the good of all. Yes, the Lord can do mighty things in the blink of an eye, but what good comes from entitlement? The LORD is the Commander and Chief of the LORD’S ARMY both in the physical and spiritual realms, and not only should we pray for the protection of our family, but for the protection of those who serve so, they too can live in peace and quietness with their families as well.
Dear LORD of Host, I am so grateful for those who serve for the good of others and myself. Thank You for establishing the many branches of service, from the CEO to the Janitor, for our good. You, the King of kings, the LORD of lords, put on an apron and washed the feet of Your disciples as an example of a servant; may we lay down our pride and treat others with dignity and respect; we are not above anyone but serve for the good of all. I pray for wisdom, direction, protection, and provision for Your servants and their families. May gratitude, grace, and respect be evident in their lives from those they serve as an extension of Your goodness. May Your Presence and the Power of the Holy Spirit enable them to accomplish Your noble calling on their lives, in Jesus’ name, amen.
