Happy New Year!

The new year is the beginning of an end goal. It is a form of destination to attain by the end of the year. Every day is a New Day; the LORD gives us everything we need to accomplish our daily tasks, interweaving and unfolding His glorious purpose for our lives according to the richness of His mercy, grace, loving kindnesses, and faithfulness, all to the glory of God.

Last year was a year of growth and development. Although I went through many trials and tribulations, Jesus never left me, even when I felt alone and abandoned. His love embraces us; what the enemy meant for harm, God meant for our good. As I reflect on this last year, the main goal was to know God, and that was His idea, not mine; therefore, I won’t boast about anything I attained on my strength. My greatest hindrance was self-sustainability and fear of the future. When I repented these sins and gave these burdens to God, my prayers changed from fear-based prayers to prayers of Thanksgiving; you don’t know what gratitude feels like until you’ve lost everything, and that’s when everything you receive, you see the Hand of God in everything. Therefore, I am grateful for last year; there are some patterns I will leave behind, such as unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, discontentment, and negativity, to name a few. As time passes, I trust the Lord will disclose more to me as I grow in the likeness of His Son, Christ Jesus.

However, if we rely on our strength, we will quickly fail and give up because our enemies set up traps to trip us along the way. But God is the Creator of all things good, Omnipresent; He is everywhere. He knows what is ahead, behind, and all around. His Presence surrounds us. He is Omnipotent, all-powerful, Supreme over all, in all, and works through all for His glory. Blessed be the Name of the LORD.
