I Thessalonians 5:1-10 NKJV

[1] But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. [2] For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. [3] For when they say, “Peace and safety!” Then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. [4] But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. [5] You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. [6] Therefore, let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. [7] For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. [8] But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. [9] For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, [10] who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.

Every day, as we get ready for work, school, etc. Mothers dress their children and send them to school fully dressed and prepared for the day. LORD, I pray that You dress us fully in Christ. Let our hearts be filled with Your Perfect Love, which casts out all fears, and may the Joy of the LORD be our Strength and Courage.

God of Peace, let the peace of Your Son, Jesus, rule and reign in our hearts; make us instruments of Your peace. Let the breastplate of Faith guard our hearts against the fiery attacks of the evil one who twists Your Word to cause conflict, confusion, and doubt. I declare in the Name of Jesus that I walk by Faith, and I will not let the blind lead me.

Father of Lights, direct our steps and our loved ones on Your path of Righteousness. Lead us away from the temptations of the flesh, world, and the devil; let no spiritual, physical,  emotional,  or mental weapons formed against us prosper. When we stray, let Mercy lead us to Repentance, and Compassion and Forgiveness embrace us. Guilt and Condemnation is not welcome in Your house, nor should it be in ours. May we be reminded of Your Forgiveness and forgive those who have wronged us the same way You forgave us.

Lion of Judah, as we surround ourselves together as one community in Christ, let Your warrior angels surround us and our loved ones as You go before us and protect from behind, Almighty God, as a little child boldly walks beside his strong father, let us walk boldly through this day besides You, our Strong Tower! Blessed be the Name of the LORD YAH, the God of our Salvation, amen.
