I Corinthians 3

Jesus Christ is the Only Foundation

3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able;  3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy and strife and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?4 For when one says, “I am of Paul, ‘ and another, “I am of Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 

Jesus, You are the Cornerstone of the Church and the Foundation on which it has been built. First, through the apostles whom You began Your work, dispensing Your gifts to each one according to Your will for the building of Your Kingdom, here on earth as it is in heaven.  Therefore, no one has the right to boast. Holy Spirit, we are Your Temple. Cleanse our hearts of all unrighteousness, and fill us with Your Spirit; throw out every spirit of envy, strife, and division from within and among us, in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son.  In their place, let the spirit of Truth, Wisdom, and the bond of Peace and Humility do its work for the edification of the body in love. May our increase be bountifully for the good of all and all to the Glory and Praise of God our Father. Forgive our sins, give us the gift of Repentance, and help to change our patterns, recognizing that we are nothing without You and each other. Let Unity and Grace mend what has been broken, and make us Kingdom builders according to Your Will, not by the will of man or our selfish desires. 

God of War, let no spiritual, physical, emotional, or mental weapons formed against us prosper. Guide our hearts and direct our steps away from the temptations of the world, flesh, and the devil. In the name of Jesus, I bind every spirit of confusion, doubt, and pride and loosen what You have already given us: Power, Love, Peace, Self- control, a sound mind, and Prosperity in everything we do according to the abundance of Your grace, steadfast love, and faithfulness. Thank You, Father, for guiding and providing Your Truth to us, in Jesus’ Name, amen.
