Beloved, Tiny Dancer

Wake up, Tiny Dancer, arise with a new song of praise in your heart. Let the Light of God’s Presence guide you out of the dark chamber where the Beast of Shame incarcerated you. The bail has been paid in full with Blood of the Lamb.

Wake up, Tiny Dancer, listen, listen to the voice of the LORD; He has redeemed you; He redeemed your soul from the pits of despair; arise, Tiny Dancer, break free from the chains of rejection, slavery, and shame, our Redeemer is singing over you, a love song, He is serenading a love song of freedom, extraordinary, adopted, approval, you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

People Pleasing

Song of Solomon

The Shulamite: “I am dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, Like the tents of Kedar, Like the curtains of Solomon. Do not look upon me because I am dark, because the sun has tanned me. My mother’s sons were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept.”

(Song of Solomon 1:5-6)

When I was a child, I wanted to be a ballerina. I love to dance, even now, especially when I get a little stressed; I imagine the Tiny Dancer in me dancing; that’s where my freedom is. However, realistically, I hide behind cheerful and jolly masks. The Holy Spirit revealed this to me when I couldn’t control or suppress the pain of rejection in the depths of my soul. I knew in my heart God would guide me through this, and I knew in my heart, like a doctor who puts pressure says, “Does this hurt?” God would add pressure to my wound and say, “This is where you have been wounded, right here, and his name is Abandonment, and I am willing to heal you.”

People-pleasing is a symptom of abandonment, and the enemy twists the Word of God by convincing us that self-care is selfishness. Jesus says to love the LORD, your GOD, with all your heart, strength, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself.” How can you love your neighbor if you don’t love yourself? Self care is loving yourself. One of the greatest gifts someone gave me was “Listening.” He listened, validated, and tenderly led me out of the pit of my past. When I was made aware of the wounded child within me, I heard her, I acknowledged her, I grieved her, and I validated her pain by speaking up for her and pruning away those who were indifferent toward her like a mother who protects her child; I needed to protect my inner child here and now; me. Yes, it is painful because sometimes it could be someone dear to you like a family member. Joseph’s brothers tried to kill him and did the unthinkable by selling him into slavery. We, too, were sold into slavery by the plans of wicked men and women. God made what they intended as evil, for Joseph’s good, the good of his family, and His glory. Same with David and many others in the Bible, but we need to trust God in the healing process and surrender those wounds to Him. (Gen. 37-50, 1 Samuel 16).

The spirit of the devil is narcissism, and he uses people as vises to cause harm in the lives of God’s children. May the LORD discern us to see those who seek to harm us through every manipulation , gaslighting, slander, gossip, and plot to destroy us; the Bible says to test the spirits, (1 John 4).

Heavenly Father, every good gift is from You; give us the courage to walk away prayerfully from those who ignorantly harm us. You know the heart of man, for they know not what they do. Holy Spirit, I pray by the authority of Jesus Christ my LORD, and SAVIOR, I pray that You rebuke the spirit of narcissism and every demonic force amongst us, and nullify every plan of the enemy causing their plans to backfire on themselves so they know the fear of the LORD, and turn to Him in holy repentance and be saved through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. May the Light of Your Presence drive our enemies away from us and hide us beneath the shadow of Your Wings. May Your Light burst forth in the darkness in our inner parts and hearts, blinding our souls’ enemy in the Powerful Name of Jesus.

O LORD, You are our Refuge, and Strength, fear has no custody over us; we are the children of the Most High God ,in whom we trust. You are our safe place, and our confidence is in Your steadfast love and faithfulness according to the richness of Your grace, mercy, and love. I declare that the arrows of the enemy will hit Your hedge of protection around us and backfire on themselves, in the Mighty Name Jesus. I pray these same blessings over my loved ones, friends, and family, and I cover every physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental entrance with the Blood of Jesus, and pray for Your healing light to shine on the wounds of our inner parts guiding us out of the cages the enemy kept us in by using the vises of shame, abandonment, rejection, heart ache. I denounce every negative word spoken against our future, our dreams, gifts, talents, goals, prosperity, family, relationships, and our spouses, and speak life over every childhood dream, and affirm Your promises to give us a future and hope, for our good, the good of others, and Your glory, in Jesus name, amen
