“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

When I think about my past, especially the sins of my youth, I can’t help but reflect on God’s patience. His longsuffering for me to come home, to run into His loving arms. I could only imagine the joy of such an encounter because I had never had an earthly father who showed such loving protection and affection toward me. I wasn’t a jewel in the eyes of a loving father, nor had I ever experienced these from a husband who wanted nothing but the best for me, so I intentionally multiplied my sins because I knew I was hellbound. My grandmother called me the devil’s daughter, and rightly so.

But GOD, in His great mercy, reached down from heaven and pulled me out of the fire. Who on earth would do such a thing? Moreover, who on earth would send their only Son, who never sinned, and laid not only my sins but the world’s sins upon Him, so I/we can become the Righteousness of God in Him?

For GOD so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son to pay the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of the world so that we sinners can have eternal life with Him, not only in heaven but also experience the LOVE OF THE FATHER, here on earth as it is in heaven. I can testify to the Goodness of GOD and His unending mercy because I experience His lovingkindness daily, not because of my works but because of my surrender to His Sovereignty; it’s a daily decision to thank Him for everything instead of complaining and manifesting bitterness. In my brokenness, the light of His Presence magnifies; to GOD be the GLORY! Blessed be the Name of the LORD, who gives and gives and gives without finding fault, and I had more than most! Who remembers our sins no more when we come in repentance, and turn away from the sins of our flesh, the world, the devil, and being washed with the Blood of the LAMB of GOD, who takes away the sins of the world, the flesh and the devils grip on us, praise and glory to GOD ALMIGHTY!

To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul and plea for the souls of my loved ones. I plead the BLOOD OF JESUS over us and seek Your mercy and forgiveness for our iniquities and the iniquities of my ancestors from generations past. LORD, You are THE GOD-WHO-FORGIVES; forgive us of all our unrighteousness known and unknown, wash our feet where they have wandered, and give feet that spread the Good News of Your salvation through Christ Your Son. Blessed are the feet that spread the good news! Let our hearts be aligned with Yours, give us hearts after Your own heart, to be in Your likeness; fill us and our loved ones with Your Holy Spirit, as Your word says, in Joel. Give us the Spirit of Truth, O LORD, and lead us in the WAY. You are GOD, and You are Holy. When my heart aches for my loved ones who don’t acknowledge You, I remember I was once there, and still, Your lovingkindness drew me closer to You. LORD, I trust that You know what is best for us, and I surrender all into Your care, in JESUS’ Name, AMEN.
