The Spiritual War
God has warriors, and so does the devil. Daily, a choice has to be made: whose side are you on? We already know Christ is the Mighty Warrior and Commander-in-Chief of the LORD’s Army. Victory has already been won. Yet, we humans often forget what we have been taught by the Lord when injustices in the world trigger us. But GOD is so good to us, and patient with us. He provided the Way, the Truth, and the Life; that is Jesus Christ, our LORD. He is faithful, and He is the same today. Psalm 107 is a reminder of God’s faithfulness. It assures us that when we cry out to Him for help, He listens and responds.

Yesterday, I listened to a YouTube video about witchcraft. The speaker prayed and said, “Jesus is LORD. Every knee shall bow before Him.” Yes, we are aware of this fact. Still, I realized that I have not made everything bow down to His Kingship. Nor have I made every thought yield to His authority. I also learned that every thought I have against others is also witchcraft. Jesus says to bless those who curse us. That’s not easy to do when your heart has been crushed, and your body has scars. Thoughts control your life. Coveting what others have accomplished, or the material things they worked hard to gain, is witchcraft. Also, when the fruit is stolen from you, spiritually, that is witchcraft. When Jesus was speaking to the crowd, a young man shouted. He said, “Teacher, make my brother divide the inheritance with me!” Jesus told him that He was not the judge over their possessions, and to beware of covetousness. Our lives do not consist of the abundance of the things we own. (Luke 12: 13-15, paraphrased).

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God. For pulling strongholds, 5 casting down arguments, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.” II Corinthians 10:3
Jesus is LORD over my thoughts, words, and deeds, and I take everything captive and make it obedient to Christ. Heavenly Father, let my thoughts, words, and deeds glorify You alone. Forgive me for warring against the things of the world according to my flesh. I come in Your Presence with a grateful heart. You are the LORD of my mind, body, and spirit. In the Name of JESUS, I take every thought captive, and make it obedient to Christ. I plead the Precious Blood of Christ Jesus over my mind, body, and emotions. Everything within me, I command to bow down and worship the KING of kings, and LORD of lords. JESUS is LORD over everything I have. I seek You and Your Righteousness. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your will be done in me through Christ, Your Son. To God alone be the glory. Amen.
