Rest Beloved

Let’s settle our hearts in the quiet glow of evening — the hour when the world softens, and the Lord whispers, “Rest, beloved.”

Evening Prayer — A Day’s Rest in His Presence

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4:8

Good evening, Lord Jesus.
As the light fades and the day comes to an end, I pause to breathe in Your presence.
Thank You for carrying me through the hours behind me — for every unseen mercy, every quiet strength, and every moment of grace.

If I have spoken words that wounded, forgive me.
If I carried worries too heavy for my heart, I lay them at Your feet now.
You are my refuge and my rest.

Let Your peace wrap around me like a blanket of stillness.
Quiet the noise of the day, and calm my racing thoughts.
Let Your Spirit guard my dreams and refresh my soul for what tomorrow holds.

I trust You with all that remains unfinished.
I surrender every care, every person, and every plan into Your hands.
For You are faithful to complete what You have begun.

Tonight, I rest not because all is perfect,
but because You are present.

In Your name, Jesus — my Shepherd, my Savior, and my Peace —
Amen.
