The Fruit of Love
“Abide in Me, and I in you.” — John 15:4
Opening Prayer:
LORD, You are the Gardener of my soul. Every seed You’ve planted in me is for Your glory and the good of others. Teach me to remain in Your love, to share freely the fruit of Your Spirit, and to recognize anything that seeks to steal or cut off Your abundance. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen.
Scripture:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5
Reflection:
Last night I dreamed of a garden I had planted — a grapevine, vibrant and full of fruit. It was beautiful, alive with promise. As I looked upon the harvest, I heard the Spirit of the LORD say, “Love thy neighbor.”
So I began clipping off bushels to share with my neighbors — the fruit of my labor, given in love. But when I returned, I saw my ex-husband pruning the new sprouts, claiming to remove “excess.” In that moment, I knew this was not the Spirit of God, for the Lord’s love multiplies; it does not diminish.
The dream was a reminder that not every voice that speaks of pruning is divine. God prunes for growth, not control. His correction brings more fruit, not less. The enemy, however, tries to cut away new life, joy, and generosity — to make us doubt the goodness of God.
The Lord is restoring His gardens — His people — to fruitfulness. Every act of love, every seed of kindness, every word of truth is a branch of His Vine. He gives in abundance, for our good and for the glory of His Name.
Prayer:
LORD, I give You my garden — every vine, every seed, every harvest. Please protect it from those who would destroy or diminish its fruit. Teach me to discern Your pruning from the enemy’s theft, and to share Your love without fear. Bless the fruit of my labor, that it may feed the hungry, heal the broken, and glorify Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Sacred Pause:
Close your eyes and picture your garden — the work of your hands and the fruit of your faith. What has God grown in you this season? What is He asking you to share?

Journal Prompt:
Where has God called you to “love your neighbor” with the fruit of your life? What does true spiritual abundance look like in your relationships today?
Soli Deo Gloria
