— Resting Under His Wings

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” — Psalm 4 : 8

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this day — for every mercy, every breath, and every moment You carried me through.
As night falls and my eyes grow heavy, I rest in the assurance that You are watching over me.

Lord, I place my home, my loved ones, and my heart under the covering of Your protection.
Let Your angels stand guard around us; let Your peace fill every corner and chase away all fear.

Where my mind replays worries, quiet them.
Where my body holds tension, release it.
Where my spirit feels weary, breathe new life into me.

Cover me with the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ —
the perfect protection, the eternal peace.
Let no weapon formed against me prosper.
Let Your presence be a wall of light surrounding me as I sleep.

I forgive those who have hurt me today.
I release every care, every burden, every battle back to You.
I choose rest, because You are my Defender, my Refuge, my Keeper.

When morning comes, wake me with songs of joy and renewed strength.
Until then, Lord, hold me close.
