Midday Prayer — Strength for the Moment
“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” — Exodus 33:14
Heavenly Father,
As the sun stands high above me, I pause to stand still before You.
The morning hours have passed, and already my thoughts and hands have labored much.
Now I come to the quiet center of this day to breathe and remember:
You are here.
Renew my strength, Lord.
Calm the racing of my mind and the weight of all that is unfinished.
Help me to rest in Your presence, even while the world continues to move.
Give me wisdom for what remains of this day —
to choose peace over hurry, compassion over complaint,
and faith over fear.
Let my words bring grace, my eyes see goodness, and my heart stay tender to Your Spirit.
Where I have fallen short, forgive me.
Where I have grown weary, restore me.
And where I must go next, lead me.
Thank You that Your mercies meet me not only in the morning or the evening,
but right here — in this sacred, ordinary middle of the day.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
