Morning Prayer — “Bread for the Journey”
Good morning, Lord.
As the world awakens, let my soul awaken to the truth that You are my sustenance today.
Just as You came wrapped in swaddle and laid where the hungry were fed,
come now and nourish my Spirit.
Forgive me for reaching for lesser things to fill the ache inside.
Forgive me for forgetting that You alone satisfy.
Strengthen me by Your Word, feed me with Your presence,
and let Your life flow through every thought, every step, every conversation today.
I receive the Bread of Heaven.
I receive Your peace.
I receive Your joy.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
