Rest in the Bread of Life

Jesus, as evening settles over my day,
I come again to the table of Your mercy.
Thank You for sustaining me—
for every breath, every step, every unseen moment where Your grace carried me.

Tonight, I lay down the weight of unmet expectations, unfinished tasks,
and the hunger of a heart still learning to depend on You.
You gave Yourself entirely—body and blood—
so I could rest fully in Your finished work.

Wrap me now in the same peace that surrounded the manger.
Quiet my mind.
Steady my breathing.
Hold me and my loved ones close as we sleep beneath the shadow of Your wings.

I Trust You, Bread of Life.
I Love You, Shepherd of my soul.
Amen.
