“What I Do Have” is rooted in faith, hope, and Love: Echoes from the heart:
1 Corinthians 13:13, Philippians 4:19, and Psalm 37:4.
Morning Prayer
LORD, I come before You in stillness—quiet every anxious thought about tomorrow, every comparison, and every fear about what is lacking. Let my heart awaken to what is true: You are my portion, my provider, and my peace. Before this day begins, remind me that what I do have is You.
Father, this morning, I thank You for the work You are doing in my heart.
Thank You that where fear once spoke, faith is rising like the morning sun.
Where bitterness once tried to settle, hope now breathes Your steadfast Love.
Where resentment once found room, Your Love is teaching me to rest in You.
LORD, I remember the words that came from my heart:
“I do not have a 401k, and I do not have a lot of money to retire, but what I do have is the LORD.”
Thank You that these words no longer come from hurt or lack, but from trust.
Thank You for opening my eyes to see the fruit of abiding in You.
Forgive me for the times I measured my life by what I did not have.
Forgive me for comparing my path to others and forgetting the abundance of Your care.
Forgive me for every anxious thought about the future, every place where fear tried to convince me I would be left without, and every moment I doubted Your faithfulness.
Today, root me more deeply in faith.
Teach me to trust that You have cared for me, and You will continue to care for me.
Root me more deeply in hope.
Let me look toward the days ahead with peace and not dread, with confidence and not despair.
Root me more deeply in Your Love.
Let my life reveal that I have been with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
LORD, as I delight myself in You, shape the desires of my heart according to Your will.
Let Your goodness mark my latter days.
Let me know the joy of Your presence in the company of my children and grandchildren.
Let me grow older in peace, gratitude, and holy contentment.
Your Word says that if I have not Love, I am nothing.
So let Love remain the truest fruit of my life.
Let my words not be empty sound, but the overflow of a heart abiding in Christ.
Let faith, hope, and Love remain in me, and let the greatest of these be Love.
Today, I thank You that what I do have is You, LORD.
And because I have You, I am not without help.
I am not without provision.
I am not without hope.
I am not without Love.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Noon Reflection
Rich in What Matters Most
By midday, it is easy to begin counting what seems missing.
Resources, security, certainty, time, strength, savings, answers.
The world teaches us to measure peace by what has been stored up.
But the Spirit teaches us to measure peace by Who holds us.
There is a holy difference between saying, I have little, and saying, What I do have is the LORD.
One speaks from lack alone.
The other speaks from trust.
This does not mean earthly needs are unimportant.
It means they are no longer the final Word over the heart.
For the one who abides in God is learning that provision is not only a number, but the steady faithfulness of the Father.
It is daily bread.
It is peace in uncertainty.
It is hope that does not collapse when circumstances shift.
It is Love becoming the truest fruit of the soul.
Paul reminds us that faith, hope, and Love remain.
And Love is the greatest.
This means that even if we possess much in worldly terms, without Love, we are poor indeed.
But if we have the Love of God shaping us, then something eternal is being formed within us.
Perhaps that is the deeper wealth:
to know the Father through Christ,
to rest in His steadfast Love,
to trust Him for what lies ahead,
and to see in our own hearts that He is making us new.
Midday Prayer
LORD, in this hour, pull my heart away from comparison and back into trust.
Where I have begun measuring my life by what I do not have, remind me again of what is true.
You are my Shepherd.
You are my provider.
You are my portion.
Forgive me for anxious thoughts about the future.
Forgive me for looking sideways instead of upward.
Teach me to be rich in faith, rooted in hope, and overflowing in Love.
Let me see the fruit of abiding in You.
Let my words carry peace.
Let my heart rest in Your faithfulness.
And let the rest of this day be shaped by gratitude for what I do have in You.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Evening Prayer
Resting in His Faithfulness
LORD, as this day comes to a close, I return to You with thanksgiving.
Thank You for every way You have cared for me Today.
Thank You for visible provision and unseen mercies.
Thank You for the quiet reminder that my life is held not by my own strength, but by Your steadfast Love and faithfulness.
Tonight, I think again of those simple words:
“What I do have is the LORD.”
And I thank You that this is no small thing.
It is everything.
To have You is to have the One who does not fail, the One who sees tomorrow, the One who supplies all my needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.
If fear tried to return Today, forgive me.
If comparison tried to stir old wounds, forgive me.
If I measured myself by what others possess instead of resting in what You have given, have mercy on me.
Wash me again in Your peace, and quiet my heart before You.
Thank You for the fruit You are growing in me.
Thank You that I am beginning to see faith where fear once lived.
Hope where bitterness once lingered.
Love where resentment once wounded.
This is Your work, LORD, and I praise You for it.
As I rest tonight, keep shaping my heart in what matters most.
Let faith remain.
Let hope remain.
Let Love remain.
And let Love be the greatest witness of all—that I have abided in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
I place my future in Your hands.
I place my needs in Your hands.
I place my aging, my provision, my family, and all my hopes into Your care.
And I will sleep in peace, knowing that You have been faithful, You are faithful, and You will remain faithful.
What I do have is You, LORD.
And in You, I have more than enough.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Sacred Pause
What I do have is the LORD.
And in Him,
faith remains,
hope remains,
Love remains.
And the greatest of these
is Love.
