Mahle and the Lion Who Led Him Home

Lord Jesus, thank You for leaving the ninety-nine to find the one who is lost. Forgive us when we run from Your Love, and lead us gently back to You. Amen.
When Mahle ran away from the fold, he felt alone, afraid, and far from home. He did not know which way to go. His heart was hurt, and his little feet had wandered too far.
But Mahle was not forgotten.
A Lion came and found him.
This was not a cruel lion, but a mighty and gentle Lion who led Mahle to the Cross of Christ. There, Mahle learned how much Jesus loved him. At the Cross, fear began to loosen its grip. At the Cross, the lost lamb found mercy. At the Cross, Mahle understood that he was worth finding.
The Lion did not leave him there alone.
He led Mahle back home.
That is what Jesus does for us. When we wander, He comes near. When we are hurt, He leads us to His Love. When we are lost, He shows us the way back home.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving us when we feel lost. Thank You for sending Jesus to lead us back home. Forgive us when we run away in fear, hurt, or confusion. Lead us to the Cross of Christ, where we find mercy, truth, and Love.
Help the youth of Day’s Journey remember that no one is forgotten by You. When they feel alone, guide them. When they feel afraid, comfort them. When they wander, bring them safely home.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Day’s Journey Youth
The Spirit of Truth
Jesus told His disciples that there were still many things they were not ready to understand yet. But He did not leave them alone. He promised the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, who would guide them.
That is good news for us too.
Sometimes young people feel pressure to have everything figured out. They wonder what God wants, why life feels confusing, or how to know what is true. Jesus reminds us that we do not have to carry everything at once. God gives us His Spirit to help us, teach us, and lead us step by step.
The Holy Spirit always points us to Jesus. He helps us know what is right, what is loving, and what is true. He helps us when we are confused, tempted, afraid, or unsure. We do not have to pretend to be strong on our own. We can ask for help.
Walking with God can be simple. It can start with a small prayer, an open heart, and a willingness to listen.
“Jesus, help me.”
“Holy Spirit, guide me.”
“Lord, show me what is true.”
God is faithful to answer.
Prayer for Day’s Journey Youth
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving us and not leaving us alone. Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to guide us into truth.
Forgive us for the times we listen to fear, pressure, or wrong voices instead of listening to You. Help us to know Jesus more and to walk in His ways.
When we are confused, guide us.
When we are afraid, strengthen us.
When we are tempted, help us choose what is right.
When we are weary, fill us with peace.
Teach our youth to Love truth, follow Jesus, and trust Your voice. Let Your Spirit lead them each day.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
