Every day, God gives us His Word to help us. The Bible is like a lamp in the dark and a shade in the heat. It shows us the right way to go.
Jesus said something wonderful:
“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son… whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
That means God loves you very much!
Jesus also said He is the Light. Light helps us see where we’re going. Light helps us avoid danger. And light helps us make good choices.
Sometimes people don’t like light because they don’t want anyone to see when they do wrong things. But Jesus is kind. He doesn’t shine His light to hurt us—He shines His light to help us.
So when you make a mistake, you can come to Jesus right away. You can tell the truth. You can say, “I’m sorry.” And Jesus will help you do what is right.
Today’s Question
When you do something wrong, do you try to hide… or do you go to Jesus for help?
Prayer (with Repentance)
Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me. I’m sorry for the wrong things I do. Please forgive me and help me walk in Your light. Help me tell the truth and choose what is right. Amen.
