Quiet Prayer
Dear Jesus,
Please help me bring every part of my heart to You.
The happy parts, the sad parts, and the parts that made wrong choices.
Thank You for remembering me with Love.
Amen.

One day, Mahle the Spotted Lamb was sitting in a quiet meadow.

The sun was warm.
The grass was soft.
The flowers swayed gently in the breeze.

Mahle had been telling the little lambs stories about the Shepherd’s kindness. He told them how the Lion had found him when he was lost. He told them how the Lion had comforted him when he cried. He told them how the Lion loved every lamb, even the ones who felt different.

But while Mahle was speaking, he heard a tiny voice inside his heart.

“Hey,” the voice whispered, “what about me?”

Mahle stopped.

He looked around, but no one was there.

Then he listened again.

“Remember me,” the voice said.

Mahle closed his eyes, and in his heart, he saw himself when he was younger. He saw the little lamb who had run away from the fold. The lamb who had followed the wrong path. The lamb had been scared, stubborn, hurt, and confused.

Mahle’s eyes filled with tears.

“I forgot about you,” Mahle whispered.

Just then, the Lion came near and sat beside him.

“Mahle,” the Lion said gently, “I have not forgotten.”

Mahle looked up.

“You remember the lamb I was?” he asked.

The Lion nodded.

“I remember you according to My Love.”

Mahle lowered his head.

“But I made wrong choices,” he said. “I wandered away. I followed the wrong voice. I hurt others, and I was hurt too.”

The Lion leaned closer.

“Bring it all to Me,” He said. “You do not have to hide the lamb you used to be. You do not have to pretend you were never lost. I came to find you.”

Mahle remembered the prayer from the Psalms:

“Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to Your Love, remember me.”

Then the Lion spoke with kindness, like a song in the meadow:

“Arise, My little one. Come with Me.”

Mahle felt something soft happen in his heart.

The little lamb inside him—the one who had been hiding in shame—began to come closer. He was not scolded. He was not pushed away. He was not called bad.

He was remembered by Love.

The Lion said,
“You are not only the lamb who wandered.
You are not only the lamb who made mistakes.
You are not only the lamb who felt ashamed.
You are Mine.”

Mahle snuggled close to the Lion’s mane.

For a long time, he rested there.

The meadow was quiet.
The flowers were bright.
The Lion was near.

And Mahle understood:

The Lion did not forget him.
The Lion did not remember him by his worst day.
The Lion remembered him according to Love.

Little Truth

Sometimes we remember the wrong choices we made.
Sometimes we feel sad about the times we ran the wrong way.
But Jesus does not call us by our mistakes.

He calls us loved.
He calls us found.
He calls us His.

Memory Verse

“According to Your love remember me, for You, LORD, are good.”
Psalm 25:7

Reflection Question

Is there a part of your heart that needs to hear Jesus say, “I remember you with love”?

Prayer of Repentance and Healing

Dear Father,
I am sorry for the times I have gone the wrong way.
I am sorry for the times I listened to the wrong voice.
I am sorry for the times I hurt others or tried to hide from You.

Thank You for loving me.
Thank You for sending Jesus to find me.
Please do not remember me by my worst day.
Remember me according to Your Love.

Jesus, call every hidden part of my heart back to You.
Help me not to hide in shame.
Help me come close and rest in Your Love.

Thank You for not forgetting me.
Thank You that I am forgiven.
Thank You that I belong to You.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Today’s Gentle Reminder

You are not remembered by your mistakes.
You are remembered by God’s Love.
