“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should gently restore that person. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens; this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to others, for each should carry their own load.
Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh, will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit, will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially those who belong to the family of believers.”

Jesus, guide me in all my ways; I realize the weakness of my flesh and how it desires to sit on the throne. I see how pride is the beginning of destruction.
Lord, help me recognize when this happens and test my motives. Without faith, it is impossible to please God; give me the gift of faith. I want to please You above all else. I repent of comparing myself to others. Let me remember Your goodness when I fall; no one is exempt from troubles, but no one is exempt from Your Love either.
Let the same loving kindness, compassion, mercy, grace, and Love pour out to all people by Your Spirit. Help me recognize compassion fatigue as a signal to seek You for sustenance, rather than trying to carry what does not belong to me. As You give me strength to serve others, let Your living water flow freely as a refreshing spring to others and me.
When I see someone living in sin, guide me, by Your Spirit, to gently restore this person, and let me take this to my heart as well. I know I am only one step away from falling into sin as well; keep me grounded in Christ. You cannot be mocked. Let me sow in the Spirit, and reap eternal life, in Jesus’ Name, amen.
