“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10).
This is the Day the LORD has made, let the Joy of the LORD be our strength, let Gratitude be our guide, and Grace transform us to the likeness of Christ JESUS.
Gratitude changes lives! Cultivating a heart of gratitude by guarding your heart with Thanksgiving and Supplication to the LORD changes the way we see things; a dark veil is lifted from our minds eyes, and we begin to see things differently. When I lost everything and everyone, I discovered God never abandoned me. Gratitude transforms a garden of bitterness to life giving fruit in every season. Negativity produces weeds of resentment, and they spread quickly, choking out the good things God has given us; even pushing people away. Its like a cloudy day with grey skies, dimming the light within us, yet gratitude causes the sun to burst forth! We are partly responsible for people leaving, because Negativity stinks; its like giving someone dirty water to drink. But God gave a spirit of Truth, Love, and a sound mind.
Dear LORD, take away the spirit of Negativity within me, and my loved ones and give us the Spirit of Gratitude and Supplication unto the LORD, our Savior, and Redeemer, JESUS CHRIST, amen.
I used my Negativity as an excuse; saying it was unrealistic to be positive in everything, and I still wrestle with these because of the loss of my son; however, I understand now that we take our lives into our own hands, and end up losing it. But anyone who loses his life for Christ sake, gains everlasting life, as JESUS said. Every person has free will; that is a beautiful gift from God, yet, sometimes, like Oswald Chambers says , and I paraphrase, “There are times we wish God would take hold of us, and there are times we wish He would leave us alone.” I’ve felt both, but now, after everything I had gone through, I ask God to keep me, no matter what happens; I need Him always because He proved that He is worthy of all my trust.
