Luke 19:37- Then, as he was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, 38 saying:
‘Blessed is the KING who comes in the name of the LORD! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39 And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”
40 But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”
Blessed be the KING who comes in the name of the LORD! I bless You, Heavenly Father, for Your steadfast love and faithfulness! My pride blinded me, thinking I needed to accomplish righteousness on my own accord. However, Your hand stretched toward me when I sat silently, alone and afraid. When religious spirits tried to silence me, keeping me from speaking of all Your marvelous deeds, every stepping stone of my victory testifies and when others see what You have done for me; leading me out of the dark, they glorify You, and rejoice because they saw where I was, and how far You have brought me; let every stone cry out and praise You. They see and believe that their time is near. Let Your mercy, grace, steadfast faithfulness, promise, and word You had spoken over us be exalted. I felt abandoned, even while living in the darkest cave of my heart. You were with me all along. I wasn’t waiting for You, You were waiting for me to surrender all into Your loving care.
When I tried to understand Your ways, I took back control. Now, I don’t have to lean on my understanding. Instead, I remember Your Presence with me. When You sent Adam and Eve out of the garden, LORD, Your Presence went with them; I understand what Cain meant when he cried out, “Don’t take Your Presence from me.” Your Presence with me is all I need. You are merciful, faithful, the provider and giver of every good gift. Jesus, You are the Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Without You, LORD, I’m afraid to see the hell I created, and the hell You created for those who deny Your Son, Jesus Christ, amen.
