Healing is not pretty; it’s lonely, and some people will treat you like you have leprosy. They will exclude, ignore, ghost, slander, gossip, and treat you with contempt privately. But publicly act like they care; they don’t; it’s a facade. This is not talk from a bitter heart; this is called Radical Acceptance. Redeemed, Renewed, and Restored.
Healing is ugly and lonely, but when God lifts you, it’s undeniably magnificent to His glory. And all those pretty women warrior memes—that’s acting. Healing is ugly. Beauty comes from the ashes, not makeup. Transformation is undoubtedly incredible because the Redeemed Person lives in Christ. She will rise!
Isaiah 61:3
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion. To give unto them beauty for ashes. The oil of joy for mourning. The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. That they may be called trees of righteousness. The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.
Beauty from Ashes. 2 1/2 years ago, I lost everything, and I was homeless; I even lost my faith. I remember crying. I didn’t have a can opener to open a can of green beans. I didn’t have a pan to cook with. I cried to God, surrendering my control to Jesus. He said He was going to make something beautiful out of my ruins. This is only a fraction of His faithfulness. God never lies! No one can take credit; to God be the glory. He is healing my relationship with my children. I blame all this goodness on my friends who held and prayed for me. Yes, God gets the glory, but their faith is healing me. Praise Jesus!
