The Happiness of Those Whose Help Is the LORD
Psalm 146:1-2: “Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul. 2 While I live, I will praise the LORD. I will sing praises to my GOD while I have my being.”
Psalm 146:5-7: “Happy is he who has the GOD of Jacob for his help. Whose hope is in the LORD, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them. Who keeps the truth forever. Who executes justice for the oppressed. Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.”
You give us our daily bread, O LORD. You stretch out Your hand to those who hope in Your steadfast love and enduring faithfulness. Who are we, that You even consider us, humans who fail You even when we long to please You!
Instead of looking away in disappointment, You look at us with love. Your compassion shines through. You remember the work of your hands in our mother’s womb. You open doors no man or demon can shut. You close doors no man, nor principality can open. Praise and glory to God alone!
You give us our daily bread. Your Word says that man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from GOD. LORD, Way maker, make our paths straight, and bless the fruit of our lips. Let Your Righteousness fill us. Cast down every wicked spirit that took residence. They stayed with or without our permission, or overstayed way past their purpose. In the Name of JESUS, I cast out every negative, judgmental, unforgiving, and ungrateful spirit. I plant gratitude, supplication unto the LORD, humility, mercy, and compassion. Let the fragrance of Your loving kindness fill the atmosphere with Your peace. It sets captives free. It lifts burdens and changes lives. In JESUS’ Name, Amen.
