Today:

LORD, Let Them Live Before You

Scripture:
“If only Ishmael might live under Your blessing!”
Genesis 17:18

LORD God Almighty,

You are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
You are the God who sees generations before they are born, who knows every child by name, and who is not limited by the failures of parents, families, or the systems we inherited.

Today I bring my children and their children before You.

LORD, let them live before You.

Not merely live long lives.
Not merely succeed by this world’s standards.
Not merely be protected from every hardship.

Let them know You.

Let them recognize Your voice.

Let them hunger for truth.

Let them Love what is good and turn away from what destroys.

Let them discover Jesus for themselves—not through fear, coercion, manipulation, or inherited religion, but through the revelation of the living God.

Where we as parents failed them, have mercy.

Where our arguments wounded them, heal.

Where hypocrisy confused them, bring clarity.

Where false religion burdened them, break every chain that does not come from You.

Where we placed anything before You, forgive us.

Where generations before us passed down fear, control, pride, deception, or spiritual bondage, let those patterns end.

LORD, let them live before You.

As Abraham prayed for his son, I pray for mine.

As Hannah poured out her soul for Samuel, I pour out my heart before You.

As David lay before You pleading for his child, I surrender those I Love into Your hands.

I cannot force faith into another heart.

I cannot rewrite yesterday.

I cannot walk every road for them.

But I can pray.

I can repent.

I can Love.

I can bless.

And I can trust You.

Father, pursue them with truth and mercy.

Place trustworthy people in their path.

Protect them from counterfeit voices.

Give them discernment.

When they wander, call them home.

When they are wounded, bind their wounds.

When they are angry with You, do not stop drawing near.

When they misunderstand You because of what they experienced through us, reveal Your true character.

Show them that You are not manipulation.

You are not coercion.

You are not fear.

You are holy.

You are just.

You are merciful.

You are the Good Shepherd.

Cover them.

Guard their minds.

Strengthen their bodies.

Protect their souls.

Order their steps.

And when I am tempted to interfere with what You are doing, teach me to release them again.

They belong to You before they ever belonged to me.

So Today I place every child, every grandchild, and every generation that may come after me into Your hands.

May they know Christ.

May they walk in truth.

May they Love mercy.

May they become people who seek You when no one is watching.

May they teach their children who You truly are.

May our family’s story not end with what was broken.

Let there be rebuilding.

Let there be repentance.

Let there be reconciliation.

Let there be truth.

Let there be worship that comes from free hearts.

And above all:

LORD, let them live before You.

In the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.
